Face Raiders

Face Raiders is a simple little game that takes use of the 3DS camera. Face Raiders is where you take a picture of a persons face and you can add some customization to the persons face and then make a game of it, the game involves shooting the persons face which appear on the screen, but on the screen you can also do some damage to the background by using the augmented reality of which the 3DS can do so it looks like a wall is being destroyed in the game if you miss. Face Raiders is also a pre-installed game so it comes with the 3DS on purchase. There is nothing more to the game then just a little fun mess about game.

To summarize Face Raiders is a fun pass the time game. It offers a fun look at some of the features that the 3DS offers like its camera and the augmented reality effects.

AR Games

AR Games is one of the best games that have being announced for the 3DS in my personal opinion. AR Games (The AR stands for Augmented Reality) is a pre-installed game on the 3DS. AR Games works with the use of cards which are provided with the purchase of the 3DS, for it to work you put the 3DS camera over the card and the camera scans the card which has a program inside it and starts a game where you can pick what type of minigame you wish to play (archery style game is the only one available in the demo). The archery game sees you shoot targets on the screen which give the illusion of being on the surface where the card is but in reality it is not and so you are shooting at nothing, some targets require you to move around the card to hit targets one such target appears in a hole in the table which means you have to lean over the card to shoot it, the demo ends with you beating an Augmented Reality dragon. The 3D effect works well in this and the controls are simple which involves you to turn your 3DS so it is taking use of the motion sensor and the a button to shoot.

To summarize AR Games is one of the most enjoyable games, but be warned when playing in public you may get a few funny looks.

Nintendogs + Cats

Nintendogs + Cats is life game which allows you to look after a virtual dog and/or cat. The game is aimed primarily for children but I personally found it a bit fun. You can play with the cats and dogs by throwing a ball, boomerang etc by using the touchscreen to throw the item, you can also pet the animal and the fun part is the fact you can dress up your cat or dog in various clothes like a cowboy hat etc. The 3D effect is good in this game and it is kind of crazy when you see one of the pets run up to the screen with the 3D on. The controls are simple and so anyone can play this game the touchscreen is just needed to play with the dogs.

To summarize Nintendogs + Cats is a nice game which is aimed primarily at children, but is fun even for the older players.
