Bandai Namco Entertainment has today announced Tales of the Rays, a free-to-play mobile RPG that will be available this summer from the Apple Store and Google Play.

Tales of the Rays will star two new heroes called Ix and Mileena who explore dungeons and battle enemies in a quest to revive their world. During their quest, the characters will encounter past Tales heroes including, Sophie from Tales of Graces f and Sorey from Tales of Zestiria.

Bandai Namco Entertainment intends to make Tales of the Rays the best possible 3D mobile RPG with Yasuhiro Ikeno, Producer of Tales of The Rays at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. Stating the following in the game’s announcement press release.

“We created Tales of The Rays with the intent to make it the best all-star character game ever. The story, music, and game design are handled by the very same team who brought you the Tales series on console, and the character design, voice acting, and opening animation are masterfully crafted by the hottest artists in Japan today. We’re all very happy to be able to share the amazing storytelling and 3D gameplay with you, and our hope is that you’re looking forward to the game’s release as much as we are.”

A Tales of the Rays trailer was also released today via the Bandai Namco Entertainment Japan YouTube channel.
