After announcing that the PC version of Phantasy Star Online 2 in 2012, and then not mentioning it again, Sega has announced that the PS4 version of the game will be Japan-only.

The news was revealed via Kotaku who were allegedly told the following by a Sega representative “SEGA is currently not planning to release the PS4 version of Phantasy Star Online 2 outside of Japan,” Jason Schreier who wrote the article mentioned that the Sega rep made no mention of the PC version of the game. So maybe despite how unlikely it is the PC version of Phantasy Star Online 2 might somehow get a western release.
