Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

Western anime and manga fans rejoice as Sega has announced that 2D fighter, Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will be coming to the west exclusively for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, developed by Ecole and French Bread in cooperation with ASCII Media Works, will see a large number of popular anime and manga characters fight against each in 1v1 battles with assist characters waiting in the wings to throw in a special move or two. Some of the available fighters and assist fighters are – Asuna from Sword Art Online, Touma Kamijou from A Certain Magical Index, Holo from Spice and Wolf, Tatsuya Shiba from The irregular at magic high school, and many more.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will be available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in summer 2015, as a digital only release (in North America, the game will be available in both digital and physical forms).

If you wish to know more about the game, please read Sega’s announcement article on the official PlayStation blog.

Personally, this announcement came as a shock to me as I felt the game’s demography would be too narrow to warrant a western release, but apparently, I have been proven happily wrong. Now if Sega wants to make me even happier they can release the western version of Phantasy Star Online 2.
