SimCity will be available for Mac as a digital only release on August 29th. Those who bought the PC version of SimCity will receive the Mac version of the game for free via Origin.

As I stated above people who previously purchased digital or boxed copies of SimCity for PC will receive a free copy of SimCity for Mac via EA’s online store, Origin.

SimCity was originally released on the PC in early March. As I said in my SimCity review I wasn’t a huge fan of the game, but it did have its moments. It was nice see a new Maxi developed SimCity game for the first time in ten years, but always online connection and enfaces on multiplayer was a turn off for me.
