Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remastered editions announced

On March 22, 2013 by Ash Meehan

Square Enix has today announced that they will be releasing HD remastered editions of Final Fantasy X and FFX-2 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The HD remastered edition of Final Fantasy X was already wildly known, as it was originally announced in September 2011, but since then nothing much was said about the game. The major change for this new announcement is that Final Fantasy X’s sequel, FFX-2 will also be getting a HD remastered edition.

According to Square Enix, the PS3 versions of FFX and FFX-2 will be bundled together on one disc, while the Vita versions will be released as two individual games.

To go along with this new announcement Square Enix has released some screenshots from the HD remastered version of Final Fantasy X. The screenshots also include comparison shots with the original PS2 version of FFX.

Finally, Square Enix will be releasing the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster announcement trailer on Monday, March 25th via the official Final Fantasy YouTube page.
