Final Fantasy X was likely chosen for the HD make over as it is one of the highest rated Final Fantasy games with its metacritic score been 92/100 from 53 reviews. Praise for the game includes its great story and emotionally powerful scenes. One of the leading game review websites GameSpy said “The graphics are so beautiful that some scenes are sure to make you weep; the gameplay is intricate and well explained; the story is simple, yet powerful; and the characters are memorable and endearing.”
The plot of Final Fantasy X saw you enter the world of Spira where you take on the role of Tidus a blitzball star whose city was destroyed by a monster called Sin at the start of the game. After the destruction he sees yourself brought into the future where Sin has ravaged the world, he joins forces with a summoner called Yuna and many others to defeat Sin and save the world of Spira.
With FFX getting a HD makeover it begs the question will FFX-2 a direct sequel to FFX get a HD makeover too in the future.
