The Adhesive Games the company behind Hawken have released a story teaser trailer and it makes you think.

Hawken is developed on the Unreal Development Kit which is a free to use version of the Unreal 3 Engine and has being praised by Epic Games, but it has also appeared on G4TV and many popular news blogs.

Hawken is a mech combat fps which is an area that has really being dominated by the Armored Core and Mech Warrior franchises and so Adhesive will have stiff competition to get mech fans away from those games.

The story teaser sets the ground work for what we can expect to see in the game. The story takes place on a distant colony were resources have begun to dwindle to a point where getting resources is a matter of surviving. The music in the teaser really sets the mood as it pans through the various industrialized areas and you get a feeling of sorrow as you are left to imagine why the streets are now completely deserted and only the sounds of mech combat are left.
