Following yesterday’s reveal of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Activision has released a short description of the game’s “groundbreaking” plot, which will see you try to rescue humanity from a devastated world.

The plot description, which Activision made public via press release, is as follows:

Set in the year 2054, a private military corporation (PMC) has emerged with the power to rescue humanity from a devastated world struggling to rebuild after a global attack on its military and infrastructure. You are the advanced soldier. Empowered with new, cutting-edge exoskeleton abilities, technological advancements and high-tech gear, players join the ranks of a highly-trained, specialized unit committed to restoring order in a state of advanced warfare.

Earlier in the press release Activision stated the game would have “A riveting new story”, well honestly from the reading the short description they provided the plot/story sound average, but I do have to say I am interested in seeing what Sledgehammer Games’ do with the exoskeleton as the press release did say it would be a new core gameplay mechanic, “New core gameplay mechanics with the exoskeleton suit.”

After watching yesterday’s reveal trailer I did become slightly interested in the game with its futuristic setting, but honestly after reading the game’s plot my interest is pretty much back to zero.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4, 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
