Capcom has announced that it will be releasing a HD Remaster of Okami for PC, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Along with the chance to replay Okami on the latest consoles, Okami HD will allow you to play all the content released with the original game, including the interactive loading game screens. In terms of new content Okami HD will offer players the choice of playing in a modern widescreen format or the original 2007 release 4:3 ratio, along with 4K graphics on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and supported PC hardware.

Okami HD is the second time Capcom has re-released Okami on new hardware. In 2012 Capcom released Okami HD as a digital only title for PlayStation 3, the PS3 HD remaster featured PlayStation Move support, trophy support, and a new ending song.

For those unfamiliar with Okami, Capcom gave the following description of Okami HD via their announcement press release

In Okami HD players take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who inhabits the form of a legendary white wolf Shiranui on a quest to defeat Orochi, an eight-headed demon and tyrannical monster responsible for turning the world into a ruined wasteland. Players must use Amaterasu’s magical abilities and arsenal of items, attacks and Celestial Brush techniques to restore the land of Nippon to its previous glory full of life and colour. Along the way, Amaterasu will be called upon to help a cast of quirky and intriguing characters and defeat a bevy of brutal enemies to rid the land of Orochi’s curse.
