Celebrate 4 years of FFXIV with a 14-hour live stream
As Final Fantasy XIV approaches its fourth anniversary, Square Enix has announced that a 14-hour live stream, which will contain details on patch 4.1, will take place on September 2nd.
The upcoming live stream will include the 38th instalment of ‘Letter from the Producer LIVE’ series, a talk session with the development team and special guest. During this segment of the anniversary live stream details regarding the first major Stormblood patch, patch 4.1, will be revealed.
Currently, the only major details available regarding patch 4.1 is the new 24-man raid created by Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics). The upcoming raid is titled “Return to Ivalice”, a world that appeared in both Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics.
In addition to the upcoming 14-hour live stream, there is an in-game celebration for the fourth anniversary of the game, which began last week called “The Rising”. This seasonal event will see players explore a labyrinth as they attempt to decipher a code to shoot down some mechanical creatures before they can run the celebrations. Successfully completing the seasonal event will see players receive two minions, two orchestrion rolls, a housing furnishing, and a prism that when activated showers the player in petals.
