With the release of the last major patch before the Stormblood expansion, Square-Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV’s 14-day limitation has been removed from the game’s free trial program.

While the 14-day restriction has being lifted, all other free trial restrictions still apply. Final Fantasy XIV free trial restrictions include a level 35 cap, chat restrictions, and the inability to access the market, join a free company, trade and the duty finder. The full array of restrictions can be found on the Final Fantasy XIV – free trail terms support page (page still mentions the 14-day period, but this is likely an oversight on Square Enix’s part).
