To celebrate the season and their ongoing event, Blizzard Entertainment has released a new online comic for Overwatch. The comic shows the heroes celebrating Christmas and revealing previously unknown information.

The first reveal major reveal in the comic is that the speedy British hero, Tracer, is a lesbian, and is currently in a relationship with a non-Overwatch character. Back in November Blizzard did state that there is an LGBT character in Overwatch when Geoff Goodman told Kotaku the following, “There is an LGBT character in the game. It’s difficult, because we don’t want to just be weirdly heavy-handed with this. We have comics and a bunch of other media to show this. We don’t want to force something in the game that is just going to feel like it’s in people’s face. We don’t want people to be like, “This just doesn’t make sense.”” I say the biggest shock about the reveal is that no one expected Tracer, who is the game’s mascot to be the game’s gay character.

The Christmas comic also shows Widowmaker paying respects to her dead husband, Genji seemingly writing Mercy a letter, Reinhardt reading a story to Torbjörn’s children, Pharah having a meal with an unknown man, and Reaper watching a family from a distance (presumably keeping an eye on his grown up son or daughter).
