After two years, Activision and Bungie have released a private match mode for Destiny. The new mode is available right now for all Destiny players.

The private match mode announced was made during the first-ever Destiny Private Match competition hosted by Major League Gaming (MLG). The private match will allow up to 12 friends fight each other in 18 competitive modes on almost 30 maps.

The private match mode comes a week before the release of the game’s fourth expansion, Destiny: Rise of Iron. The new Rise of Iron expansion will include a new campaign story, new The Plaguelands (Earth) zones, a new social space called Felwinter Peak, a new enemy faction that includes Fallen Splicers, a new six-player raid, and more.
