Today, Square Enix has added seven new optional items to the Final Fantasy XIV cash shop. The new items include two new attires and five housing items.

The new items are:

  • Cid’s Attire
    • Head Engineer’s Goggles / Head Engineer’s Attire
  • Garlond Ironworks Attire
    • Ironworks Engineer’s Goggles / Ironworks Engineer’s Doublet / Ironworks Engineer’s Gloves / Ironworks Engineer’s Slops / Ironworks Engineer’s Boots
  • Miniature Dreadwyrm
  • Premium Stuffed Moogle
  • Emerald Carbuncle Lamp
  • Topaz Carbuncle Lamp
  • Ruby Carbuncle Lamp

Attire pieces cost €5.60 each it is, however, worth noting that only male characters can wear Cid’s Attire. The housing furnishing items, Miniature Dreadwyrm and Premium Stuffed Moogle costs €10.50 each while the three Carbuncle Lamp variants cost €3.50 each. It is worth noting that if you remove the furnished items they will be lost.

These new items are also one of a handful of FFXIV cash shop items that weren’t previously available via in-game means. Personally, as a fan of Final Fantasy XIV and as a person who isn’t a fan of pay to play games having cash shops (looking at you World of Warcraft) I am slightly disappointed that some lovely looking items are locked behind an additional pay wall.
