After a long content drought, Destiny players will finally be able to enjoy some new content with Destiny: The Taken King 2.2.0 update. This update increases the light cap, offers new rewards and more.

The April update, which is now available for download, sees the light cap increased to 335, this light increase also sees the difficulty and rewards increase in areas such as the Prison of Elders, Court of Oryx etc. A new level 41 version of Prison of Elders has been added, and a new taken strike, Taken Strike: Winters Run has also been added.

With new challenges comes news rewards as new ways to gain gear new powerful gear such as Chroma and Taken-themed gear can be found in Sterling Treasures. Players can obtain a maximum of three Sterling Treasures a week. These treasures are obtained by completing the new level 41 Prison of Elders and completing one match in the features weekly crucible playlist.

In terms of new gear, there is the Taken-themed gear, which when fully completing unlocks the Taken “shiver” emote, updated faction and prison of Elders gear, and finally chroma customization, which allows for additional character customisation.
