Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward coming June 23rd
Final Fantasy XIV’s Heavensward expansion will be releasing slightly later than expected as Square Enix has announced the upcoming expansion will be released on June 23rd for PC, PS3, PS4 and Mac.
The release date for the expansion was announced during the game’s panel at PAX East, along with news of Mac port, which is due out on the same day at the expansion. During the panel the game’s director, Naoki Yoshida talked about the expansion’s three new classes (jobs) and gave fans a look at some stylish endgame gear.
At the same time, the expansion’s release date was announced the panel revealed that pre-orders for the expansion will open on March 16, and that those who pre-order will be able to play the expansion four days early.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will include: 3 new classes (Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist), a new race called the Au-Ra, flying mounts, new raid dungeon, level cap increase from 50 to 60, and more.
At the end of the panel, Square Enix released a new trailer for the game (the trailer is part of the new benchmark tool, which is due to be released next month). The trailer shows off various parts of the world, the primal Bismarck, and much more.
