F1 2014 takes us on a virtual tour of the Russian GP
Codemasters has released a new hot lap video for F1 2014. This new video focuses on this season’s second new race, the Russian GP at the Sochi Autodrom.
The hot lap video of the Sochi Autodrom is driven by 20-year-old Russian driver Daniil Kvyat in his Toro Rosso STR9.
Codemasters’ press release has the following information regarding the new track.
This year’s 2014 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX will be the first time that Russia has hosted a GRAND PRIX in 100 years. The fast and flowing 19-turn track features a demanding final sector and includes 1.7km of public roads. The unique circuit runs through the Sochi Olympic Park, taking landmarks including the Bolshoy Ice Dome, Adler Arena Skating Center and medals plaza, and the GRAND PRIX is set to be run in front of 55,000 fans. The new hot lap video is FORMULA 1 gamers’ first chance to see the full circuit in the game.
The real Russian GP weekend will run from 10-12 October a week before F1 2014 video game is release. Although due to the political tensions with Russia apparently invading/helping separatists in Ukraine, some have called for the Russian Grand Prix to be cancelled. Although at this present moment, I do not foresee the Grand Prix being cancelled although everything could change depending on how Russia acts.
F1 2014 will be available on October 17th for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. A next generation Formula 1 game will be released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
