Namco Bandai has today released a teaser trailer for a brand new game in the Ace Combat fighter series called, Ace Combat Infinity.

There isn’t much information about the game, but from the trailer we know that an asteroid has caused extensive, if not near apocalyptic damage to various parts of the planet. It also looks like the game will be set in our universes Earth again, so bad news for fans of the old Ace Combat games which were set on the alternative universe planet called, Strangereal.

We do know that Ace Combat Infinity will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, well in Japan at least. There is no official word if that it will be a PS3 exclusive in Europe or North America, but it wouldn’t be unusual. The majority of the Ace Combat games have been PlayStation exclusives apart from Ace Combat 6 which was an Xbox 360 exclusive and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon which was the series first multi-platform game.
