Gamestop will stop taking PS2 trade-ins from next month
According to Reddit user eGORapTure, Gamestop will no longer be accepting pre-owned, PS2 games, accessories, or system from June 1, 2013. Gamestop has since confirmed that their US stores will not be accepting trade-ins from next month.
Earlier this year, Sony stopped producing the PlayStation 2, 13 years after it first hit the market. The PlayStation 2 was incredibly popular with Sony stating that 155 million units sold worldwide.
