On March 5, 2013 by Ash Meehan

Eidos and Square Enix have announced via Game Informer the reboot of the well known stealth series, Thief for next generation consoles and PC.

In the first part of a month long coverage of new title, Game Informer talked about the games hero, Garrett and the city in which he will do his work.

Series hero Garrett returns to the Gothic, industrial metropolis known simply as the City to steal any and everything that will make him richer. Unfortunately, the City is broiling with social tension as it is ravaged by a plague and lorded over by a political tyrant known as the Baron. In order to survive his adventures, Garrett will have to pay attention to his environment and make use of the may possible paths through each of the game’s levels.

Square Enix has officially announced that Thief will be available for PlayStation 4 and PC in 2014, but they have also stated it will be on other next generation consoles (this is more than likely the next Microsoft console).

More information on the game will be distributed via the Game Informer Thief hub and in the April issue of the Game Informer magazine.
