It is time to try and become a devoted Cleric as the first beta weekend for Cryptic developed mmo, Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter begins today.

The Devoted Cleric is a support class which primarily fills the role of a healer, with powerful healing abilities like Soothing Light which heals any ally he/she targets. But the Cleric is not just a healer; the class is also powerful damage dealer, with powerful area of effect abilities like Daunting Light which creates a divine column of light to defeat its enemies.

If you wish to try out the Devoted Cleric and Neverwinter, you can register for chance to enter the beta by visiting playneverwinter.com, or if you wish to have guaranteed access to the beta you can purchase one of the three Neverwinter Founder’s Pack over at http://nw.perfectworld.com/founderspack.

The founder’s packs are pretty expensive with the cheapest pack costing $19.99 and the most expensive costing $199.99 , but it is ok because the games publishers, Perfect World value the contents of the $199.99 pack at $549, so you are making a huge saving. Honestly, the packs do look good if you are a D&D fan, but if you aren’t a D&D fan I would say just take the free option and register for a chance to enter the beta.
