The free to play option is now available for Bioware’s mmorpg ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’. The option allows users to play for free, but the option does come with various restrictions.

The free to play option allows players to complete all eight class storylines up until level 50. Apart from complete access to level 1-50 storyline, free to play users do receive a fair number of restrictions as you can see on the feature chart, restrictions include the number of crew skills, number of operation and flashpoint you can enter per week, and more.

Along with the free to play option now going live, Bioware has released update 1.5: HK-51 activated. This update includes a new companion in the form of the deadly assassin, HK-51. A new Nightmare mode is available for Operation: Explosive Conflict and the exploration of Section X on Belsavis have also been added in the update.
