Here is something I bet no one expected. Bayonetta will be getting a sequel and it will a Wii U exclusive.

As you might expect some fans aren’t exactly happy with the games developer Platinum Games because the sequel will not be appearing on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The reason for Bayonetta 2 been released only on the Wii U is a rather simple answer and that is Nintendo is the games publisher.

While Nintendo publishing the game annoys fans I think some fans need to realize that if it wasn’t for Nintendo the odds of a sequel would have being highly unlikely considering Sega who published the original apparently didn’t want to publish a sequel. That said Sega are involved in the game in an advisory role.

Bayonetta 2 currently has no official release date but since it doesn’t appear in the launch window December 1 to March 31, it might be a while before we see Bayonetta 2 on store shelves.
