Today it has being revealed that Bioware co-founder Greg Zeschuk has left his role of general manager of Bioware Austin, but still remains a part of Bioware.

Greg Zeschuk’s successor at the studio has already been named. Matt Bromberg, former CEO of Major League Gaming will be taking Zeschuk’s position as general manager.

EA was also quick to confirm that Zeschuk is still with the company, by telling Eurogamer “Greg is still with EA. He’s now back in Canada, taking time off and thinking about new projects.”

Zeschuk’s departure comes as Bioware Austin’s flagship game the mmo Star Wars: The Old Republic has failed to impress with subscriptions numbers dropping below one million users and the game adding a free to play option which is due out this fall.
