Want to try out the combat changes to Runescape, but didn’t get invited into the beta. Well this weekend Jagex is opening up the beta to all Runescape members.

This weekend’s open beta weekend will run from 10am (BST) on Friday 6th July until 10am (BST) on Monday 9th July. The upcoming beta weekend will be the first of four beta weekends which will happen over the course of the beta.

Each beta weekend will require players to carry out certain tasks. This weekend’s task/ challenge will require player to complete one full game of Castle Wars which is a team based member only PVP mini-game.

The point of the combat beta is to perfect the changes made to the combat system in what Jagex call the Evolution of Combat.

For those taking part in the beta weekend and feel they might need a bit of a hand Jagex has released a combat beta tips and tricks video narrated by Mod Rath.
