NCsoft has announced today that the purchase mmorpg Guild Wars 2 will be released in both Europe and North America on August 28, 2012.

Guild Wars 2 is the sequel to Guild Wars which sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. Guild Wars 2 will use the same payment system as Guild Wars which means you buy game and don’t need to pay monthly subscription fees like you do in most mmo.

Guild Wars 2 has attracted a lot of attention for its intense player Vs player combat, customisable personal storyline and dynamic events which can alter the zone it happens in.

NCsoft has also announced that the final beta weekend for Guild Wars 2 will take place on 20-22 July.
