Gameforge and NCsoft has released a new trailer for Aion free to play which details the games main features as they gear up the game towards its free to play launch in Europe.

Volker Beonigk, Executive Product Director at Gameforge detailed the future for Aion free to play in the company’s latest press release “Since its release, AION has consistently been enhanced, and this shall continue to be the case. The new and innovative content in Version 3.0, such as the Housing System and weather effects, will help AION keep its place as one of the highest-rated and most popular MMOs worldwide. Beyond these updates, we will continue to do everything we can to ensure players get a challenging and fun experience from AION for years to come”. So no need for Aion fans in Europe to worry, Gameforge will continue to support new content and for those wondering 3.0 is set for release in Europe sometime in 2012.

For those who are unsure the free to play move is only happening for European players and so those who play in North America will still be using a subscription model.
