Today, Bioware released a new addition to their holonet information page with a 3D interactive galactic map for the upcoming mmorpg Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The 3D map at present will focus on the 5 major sectors of the known galaxy which include Seat of the Empire, Unknown Regions, Distant Outer Rim, Hutt Space and Coreward Worlds.

The 3D map is interactive and clicking on the map will bring up allow you to explore the known planets in the sector, you can read up on the planet and watch a video of what the planet will be like in game.

At present there are 14 planets which include: Alderaan, Corellia, Coruscant, Dromund Kaas, Korriban, Taris, Hutta, Nar Shaddaa, Quesh, Voss, Belsavis, Hoth, Tatooine and Ilum.

You can also get some information on the ships you will be able to pilot in game.
