Today it was announced by Sony Computer Entertainment that the Sony Playstation 3 has hit 50 million units sold worldwide as of March 29th 2011. It was also announced that over 8 million of the move controllers have being sold worldwide as of April 3rd 2011. Other information that came out from the announcement are as followed:

• There are 75 million registered Playstation Network accounts across 59 countries as of March 20th  2011.
• There are 155 PS3 games that support the Move controller as of March 24th 2011.
• Finally the PS3 has more than 2,128 software titles with 450 million units sold worldwide as of the end of December 2010.
