Global Agenda going free to play

Hi-Rez stuido’s mmo shooter Global Agenda will be using a free to play model soon. The change will take play during update 1.4 called “Free Agent” which is expected to hit sometime in April. While it will be going free to play there will be 2 different versions to choose from.

  1. Free to Play version
  2. Elite Agent version

If you purchase Global Agenda before the “Free Agent” update you will be put into the Elite agent version which offers more content. Here is a look at the differences between the versions:

Free to Play version:

  • No level restriction
  • Ability to earn all of the game’s current items without spending real money.
  • Access to all of the game’s current playable content, including:
  1. Sonoran Desert Open Zone
  2. Special Ops PvE (1- to 4-person Co-Op)
  3. 10v10 Mercenary PvP
  4. 4v4 Arena PvP
  5. Double Agent PvPE
  6. 10-person Defense Raids (including the new Dome Defense Mission coming in version 1.4).
  7. Agency vs Agency Gameplay (AvA)

Elite Agent version:

  • Earn End-of-Mission XP at twice the rate of a Free-to-Play user.
  • Earn End-of-Mission Credits and Tokens at twice the rate of a Free-Play user.
  • Earn End-of-Mission Elite Loot upon winning an instanced PvE or PvP match.
  • Choose which PvP gametypes you would like to play when queuing for Mercenary PvP.
  • Access the Auction House.
  • Access In-Game Mail.
  • Less restrictive chat capabilities.
  • No ads for in-game voice.
  • Ability to create Agencies.
  • Higher Login priority.

Also the Global Agenda webstore will provide boosters for extra experience or extra loot drops.
