Today, Stoic Studios has announced that Banner Saga 3 has successfully funded with the company passing its $200,000 goal with more than 34 days remaining on its Kickstarter.

Back in 2012, the original Banner Saga was successfully crowd funded via Kickstarter raising $723,886 the game was later released in January 2014. Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 went onto receiving a slew of positive reviews and awards.

Banner Saga 3 is the third and final instalment in Stoic Studios’ successful Norse influence turn-based strategy game. In a recent press release, Stoic provided the following description of Banner Saga 3.

In Banner Saga 3, players will embark on their final journey beyond the wall of Darkness to traverse a world unlike anything encountered in previous sagas. The beautifully hand drawn Viking role-playing adventure will once again test the player’s resolve through epic tactical battles against deadly adversaries where a player’s choice directly affects their personal journey.

With Banner Saga 3, the eyes turn stretch goals with the first being the playable Dredge if the Kickstarter reaches $250,000.
