THQ Nordic acquires all of NovaLogic’s franchises
THQ Nordic has announced new franchise acquisitions, with the company acquiring Delta Force, Comanche, Joint Operations and other Franchises from NovaLogic.
The purchase of NovaLogic’s franchise could see some of the company’s best-known and loved games return to stores as THQ Nordic has said, “We are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP.”
NovaLogic was a popular publisher of military simulations and military-themed multiplayer shooters throughout the late 80s to the 00’s with popular games such as the F-22 series, Comanche series and of course the Delta Force series.
THQ Nordic, which was Nordic Games before it rebranded in August 2016, has amassed a long number of IPs including the rights to the space-RTS Nexus, Darksiders, Red Faction and much more. In August 2016, THQ Nordic announced they have 23 game projects in development, and one might ask, is THQ Nordic acquiring too many franchises to fast?
