Senran Kagura Estival Versus receives an EU release date
Senran Kagura Estival Versus is the latest brawler game in the Senran Kagura series, with previous games including Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, Senran Kagura Shinobi Versus, and odd cooking themed game Senran Kagura Bon Appétit. The Senran Kagura series goes beyond video games, as there is five Senran Kagura manga, and a Senran Kagura anime was aired in Japan in early 2013.
For those unaware of the series, Marvelous Europe has released the following description and release date trailer.
In SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS, our sexy Shinobi find themselves suddenly transported to an idyllic island. The heroines soon realise there’s more to this paradise than sunshine and sandy beaches when the different schools end up involved in a fighting festival that will test their strength and wits. The winner will uncover the innermost secrets of Shinobi lore, attaining the coveted rank of Kagura – truly the highest honour that can be bestowed on a fighter. In the process, rivalries will resurface, wounds will reopen and convictions will be tested.
Gameplay in SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS cranks everything fans love about the series up to 11. In true SENRAN KAGURA fashion, every character has a unique Shinobi Transformation that increases her power and grants her different abilities. Additionally, players can unleash devastating special moves and use advanced techniques, like Aerial Raves and Wall Runs, to dominate the opposition. Some of the fights may even culminate in a Creative Finisher if characters are standing on the right spot – and these finishing moves show the girls in ways that you’ve never seen before!
For those who live in North America and are curious about when the game releases there, the game’s North American publisher, XSEED Games has announced that it will be released in their territory on March 15th.
