Today, Hi-Rez Studios has announced the “SMITE World Championship presented by Xbox One”. The championship, which will run from January 7-10, 2016, will feature two tournaments: the SMITE PC World Championship and the SMITE Xbox One Invitational.

The championship, which will take place in the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, USA, which closes out season 2 of action MOBA game, SMITE. Will see teams from around the world compete for a prize pool that is set at $1 million. The Xbox One Invitational will see the four top teams from SMITE’s Xbox One competitive scene compete for a total prize pool of $150,000.
