Star Citizen raises $6 million
Star Citizen the space sim from Chris Roberts’s Cloud Imperium Games Corporation has broken the crowd funding record by raising more than $6 million for the game.
Chris Roberts used crowd funding site Kickstarterand his own site Roberts Space Industries to raise the money for the game. When the Kickstarter campaign closed yesterday the money raised was $2,134,374, while on RSI Roberts raised $4,227,325.
Star Citizen’s goal was to reach $6 million and now that they have additional content such as a full orchestral music for the game and more.
For those who do not know Chris Roberts created the Wing Commander series which many see as the best space combat sim series for the PC.
Star Citizen is scheduled for a PC release between sometime in 2014 and 2015.
