On October 8, 2012 by Ash Meehan

The first episode of the live action Halo series “Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn” has premiered on Friday (Oct 5) via the Machinima Prime YouTube channel.

“Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn” takes place before the human and Covenant war, and follows a group of UNSC academy cadets training to fight in the ongoing war with the insurrectionists in the outer colonial planets. The webseries also sets part of the backstory for Halo 4, in particular the backstory of cadet, Thomas Lasky whose meeting with Master Chief inspires him to become the man you see in Halo 4.

Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn is directed by Stewart Hendler (“H+,” “Sorority Row”) and written by Todd Helbing and Aaron Helbing (“Smallville,” “Spartacus”). The series also contains a star studded line up Green (“Dance Academy”) as Thomas Lasky, Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia) as Chyler Silva, Daniel Cudmore (X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Twilight Saga) as the Master Chief and more.

“Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn” airs every Friday on Machinima Prime.
