With Battlefield 3 been out for a week EA has revealed that five million copies of the game have been sold worldwide.

The number makes Battlefield 3 the fastest-selling game in EA’s history. Reviewers have given the game an average score of 85 – 90% (PC).

Battlefield 3 has set other new EA records this weekend which include:

  • 2.5 million Facebook “likes”.
  • 200,000 followers on twitter.
  • Battlefield 3 fans have executed 73 million savior kills, 48 million revives and destroyed 67 million vehicles.

Patrick Soderlund, Executive Vice President of the EA Games Label said “From Tokyo to Los Angeles, Sydney to London, millions of fans have been playing all weekend long — we are overwhelmed by the global response to Battlefield 3.”

  • I would never buy BF3, because of “Origin”. Origin is spyware powered by EA and the only way to play BF3 is installing Origin >:(
