DICE have named and detailed all 9 of the Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps on Battlefield blog.

The first map is Operation Firestorm. This map is based in Iran’s largest source of oil which the U.S and Russia both want to control.It will support all game modes.

The second map is Operation Métro. People should be familiar with this map as it is the map that was playable during the beta. This map is based in Paris and will see you go to Chardonnay Park and fight your way through as the U.S. forces to the financial district .This map will support all game modes.

The third map is Tehran Highway. This map is based in the Iranian capital of Tehran which sees U.S. forces pushing into the city and the Russians defend it. This map will support all game modes.

The forth map is Damavand Peak. This map is based in a rugged mountain area which sees the U.S. and Russia trying to secure the key radar installations in the area. This map will support all game modes.

The fifth map is Grand Bazaar. This map will be set in Tehran 2 weeks into the battle for the city which continues to see the U.S. and Russian forces battle for the city. This map will support all game modes.

The sixth map is Caspian Border. This map is likely well known to PC players as they got the chance to play this map near the end of the beta. The map is set a Russian camp along the Turkmenistan side of the Iranian border. This map will support all game modes.

The seventh map is Seine Crossing. This map will take place in the 7th district of Paris which is occupied by the Russians. This map will support all game modes.

The eight map is Noshahr Canals. This map is in the major Iranian harbor near Noshahr canals. This map will support all game modes.

The final map is Kharg Island. This map is based on Kharg Island which is Iran’s biggest oil export terminal and the U.S. forces are trying to take control of the island to deny Russians critical access to Iranian Oil Reserves.

Battlefield 3 is due out October 25, 2011 (NA) and October 28, 2011 (EU) for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
