Onlive one month trial available via PC Gamer Magazine.
PC gamer in their new revamped issue are offering a token code to use the new UK based OnLive gaming service for one month. This service enables most older computers to play the latest games via cloud computing.
How does this work?It’s a pretty simple idea.Your PC/Laptop runs a type terminal service where you play the latest games. Your signals (keyboard input) and moves are sent to a cloud computing server that calculates what you do in game, processes it and then sends a video stream back to your PC. So basically your PC does not do a lot of processing.
It’s an interesting and possibly ground breaking idea. But with Internet latency/lag you may notice response issues as you play. So if your interested grab a copy of the latest PC Gamer magazine (UK).
