DICE the makers of the Battlefield series have announced their will be a Battlefield 3 novel that will release alongside the game. The novel will be called Battlefield 3: The Russian and will be written by Andy McNab who is a former SAS operator and he already works with DICE as a consultant to make sure Battlefield 3 is as authentic as possible. Now what is the book about?

The book follows Dimitri “Dima” Mayakovsky, a ;egendary and pragmatic GRU operator in the twilight of his Special Forces carrer. Known as a “cleaner”, Dima is the sort of person that does whatever it takes to get the job done. The book picks up where the game leaves off, allowing McNab and Grimsdale (co-author) to give a thrilling new perspective into Dima’s own personal quest as well as the events of Battlefield 3.

Andy McNab previously wrote Bravo Two Zero which became a number 1 best seller.

Expect to see Battlefield 3:Russian in all good bookshops on October 28 th.
