Mortal Kombat Season Pass announced

Today Warner Brothers and NetherRealm studios announced the Mortal Kombat Season Pass which allows you to pay a one time fee for the 4 new dlc playable characters that will be released over the summer.

The first dlc character will be Skarlet which will be available on June 21st after this it is followed by Kenshi, Rain and an unannounced character.

The season pass will cost 1,200 Microsoft points. This is a saving of 400 Microsoft points as each dlc character will cost 400 Microsoft points each.

To allow for seamless online play with the new warriors a compatibility pack will be released which will be free and be required by players to download. To entice people to download this free pack players will get free Klassic skins the first of which are being released with Skarlet will be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 inspired Cyrax and Sektor. Those who purchase the pass or individual dlc will get Klassic Skins with each new character download.

Those who do not purchase the Mortal Kombat Season Pass or the Add-ons, will be able to download the compatibility packs for free and have access to the klassic skins as well.

The most important thing to note is that this pass will only be purchasable for Xbox 360 users. Playstation users will have to download each dlc individually for £3.19.
