Crysis 2 Multiplayer demo preview
Now on with the gameplay. With these 3 suit modules that I just explained the Crysis 2 multiplayer still feel ordinary, but there is a hi tempo to the gameplay and so you have to be kept on your feet. If I had to compare Crysis 2 multiplayer I would say it is a cross between Call of Duty multiplayer(from 4 onwards) and Halo Reach multiplayer, I do not make this comparison in a bad way because it takes the best aspects of both, the well done perk system of Call of Duty and the fast gameplay of Halo Reach. If you are into your first person shooters you will enjoy it that saying new comers to first person shooters shouldn’t dismiss Crysis 2 because while it is fast passed and well the learning curve like in most multiplayers can be steep do not be deterred, I would not be a great FPS player by any stretch, but I found as I began to get used to the controls I worked my way up from a -3.00 K/D ratio. In essence the gameplay is nothing special it is solid and if you are looking for something solid and nothing ground breaking then Crysis 2 is the game for you.
Also on the subject of the controls I would like to say this, wow there is a lot of buttons to press. I don’t know if it is just me but I was playing the PC version of the demo and I rarely play PC first person shooters but the button spread was a bit crazy at first but as I said you can get it with practice (I think I need a lot of that).
In conclusion Crysis 2 multiplayer will not be my deciding factor on whether I personally purchase a copy of Crysis 2 when it releases, I am hoping the single player makes up for a less then stellar multiplayer.
Crysis 2 will be released on March 22(US) March 25(UK) on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Thank you for taking the time to read this little review.
