Big Ben Interactive has revealed that their latest rugby game, Rugby 18, will have 65 official national and championship teams, although Ireland doesn’t make the list.

Rugby 18 will contain nine National teams: Australia, England, France, Scotland, Wales, Italy, South Africa, New Zealand and Fiji. The game will also contain teams from the following championships: TOP 14, PRO D2, PRO14, and Aviva Premiership Rugby.

As a rugby fan, I couldn’t help but notice the exclusion of Ireland from the list of licensed teams. Honestly, to me, it is weird to see the game’s developers exclude the country that is ranked fourth in the World Rugby Rankings. Despite the exclusion of the Irish national teams, the Irish club teams (Leinster, Munster, Ulster and Connacht) are in the game. From the inclusion of the Irish club teams, it could be inferred that the lack of Irish national team could be due the developers failing the secure a license from the IRFU (Irish Rugby Football Union).

Rugby 18 will be available October 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more information on Rugby 18, visit https://rugby-thegame.com/.
