Today, it has been announced that the Dublin International Game Music Festival (iDIG) will headline next month’s PlayersXpo 2017.

The iDIG will host two unique concerts on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of October in the Convention Centre Dublin (the same location as the convention). The concerts will be conducted by world-renowned Irish composer and conductor Eimear Noone, who is best known for her work on Overwatch and World of Warcraft.

During the two-day convention, Eimear Noone and her Emmy-nominated husband Craig Stuart Garfinkle will be hosting a series of seminars and panels examining the business of video game music from bespoke beat patterns to trailer track secrets, with a Demo Derby also giving fans and aspiring creators the chance to submit their own works on the day for review.

On the Sunday night of the convention, a live orchestra will be performing some of the most memorable tunes from games of the 80’s and 90’s during the Irish premiere of RetroGames Live.

*Update* The RetroGames Live show is now taking place on Sunday, and the iDIG is set to launch The Celtic Link Album on Saturday.
