Dragon Ball FighterZ announced

On June 12, 2017 by Ash Meehan

During the Xbox E3 2017 briefing, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Dragon Ball FighterZ, a 2D fighter featuring characters from the Dragon Ball anime.

To develop Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco Entertainment has partnered up with Arc System Works, developers of various Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighting games.

The two current standout features for Dragon Ball FighterZ is the game will feature 3vs3 tag/support and the game will feature High-End anime graphics thanks to the power of the Unreal engine and the developers at Arc System Works. In terms of game performance, Bandai Namco Entertainment’s press release has stated the game will run at 1080p 60fps, and that the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X will support a higher resolution (most likely meaning 4K).

Regarding the roster of characters, Bandai Namco Entertainment has only announced six characters – Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Frieza and Majin Buu. Expect to see more character announcements before the game is released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2018.
