Bethesda E3 2017 announcements
In the early hours of the morning, Bethesda held their E3 2017 conference; here is what the company announced.
Bethesda announced VR support for both DOOM and Fallout 4. DOOM VFR will support both the PlayStation VR and HTC Vive, while Fallout 4 VR will be a HTC Vive exclusive.
The first Quake Champions world championship has been announced, it will take place on August 26th in Dallas, Texas. Wolfenstein protagonist, B.J. Blazkowicz will be playable in Quake Champion, along with three new maps.
A standalone Dishonored game was announced. The game will be called Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Bethesda provided the following description of the game.
Take on the role of Billie Lurk, once one of Dunwall’s most notorious killers-for-hire. Reunited with your old mentor, the legendary assassin Daud, you undertake the greatest assassination ever conceived: killing the Outsider, a god-like figure whom Daud sees as instrumental in some of the Empire’s most dishonorable moments. As you venture deep into the grimiest corners of Karnaca to uncover the mystery of the Outsider and his origins, face deadly opposition, dark ancient powers, and difficult decisions that will forever change the world around you.
The Evil Within 2 was announced during the conference. The game will apparently continue the survival horror theme of the first game. Players will take on the role of Detective Sebastian Castellano as he enters a world filled with nightmares in an effort to save his daughter.
Last and by certainly no means least, Bethesda announced Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The New Colossus sees B.J. Blazkowicz head to Nazi-controlled America in an effort to free the world from Nazis.
