Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception gets a May 23rd release date
Deep Silver has announced that Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception will be released across Europe on May 23rd for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita (Vita is digital-only release).
To celebrate the European release date, Deep Silver has released a new story trailer for the game.
If you suddenly woke up to an unfamiliar fantasy world populated with strange people, the last thing you’d want is to get involved in a war, right? Well, that’s EXACTLY what happens to Mask of Deception’s protagonist Haku!
It’s not all adventures and questing for the mysterious amnesiac. When the bloodthirsty Uzurusha warlord Gundhurua decides to invade the mighty nation of Yamato, everyone, including Haku and his friends, will get thrust into the midst of war. Although Haku would much prefer, you know, not fighting in a war, the great Yamato general Oshtor enlists his help in defending innocent civilians from certain doom. Even though he may not be the strongest fighter, he is a gifted strategist who can use his mind against his enemies’ brawn. Will his intelligence be able to carry him through this volatile time?
While Deep Silver is publishing Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception in Europe, Atlus will be publishing the game in North America. The North American release is the same as Europe’s -May 23rd-, but unlike the European release, both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game will be available in both physical and digital formats.
