Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer revealed
During the Call of Duty: Experience convention, Activision and Infinity Ward officially revealed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer mode, and well it look interesting.
Enter the combat rigs (Rigs) there are six rigs for players to choose from and each one offers their own style of play. Each rig can be customised as you can alter its payloads and traits. Payloads can be powerful weapons of abilities. Traits are either persistent, overcharged enhancements or abilities refilled every few seconds. The six rigs available are called Warfighter, Merc, FTL, Stryker, Phantom, and Synaptic. Each of the six rigs has a choice of three payloads and three traits. Some traits and payloads include FTL Jump – a localized FTL burst that moves you a short distance forward (FTL rig), Hardened – placed equipment and drones have increased health and can also persist through the player’s death (Stryker rig), and Propulsion – press a button to quickly dash in any horizontal direction (Synaptic rig).
Apart from a large array of customisation options for rigs, Infinite Warfare will include crafting. According to Activision’s official press release, “players can use Salvage, the crafting currency earned during a match, to craft unique Prototype Weapons that come with special cosmetic and functional benefits called “Gun Perks.” Gun Perks alter the functionality of Prototype Weapons and make them uniquely suited for various play styles.”
Crafting and customisation appear to be the major points in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer, for a more comprehensive overview of the multiplayer, please check out the below video.
