Hi-Rez Studios has announced that their popular third person MOBA, SMITE will be making its way to the PS4 later this year, a closed beta is set to take place in the near future.

While SMITE for PS4 won’t be released until later this year, Hi-Rez is currently looking for beta testers, as PS4 users can opt-in for the beta via SMITE’s website. Hi-Rez also announced that there will be several exclusive skins for the PlayStation 4 version of the game. According to a PlayStation Blog post, some of the skins include Odin’s “World’s Collide” skin and Kulkulkan’s “Kuku4” skin.

If you have questions regarding SMITE for PS4, Hi-Rez has released an FAQ. Some noticeable points in the FAQ are 1) SMITE Xbox accounts cannot be linked to a SMITE PlayStation account, 2) Hi-Rez is working with Sony to determine if it is possible to copy a SMITE PC account to a PS4 account, 3)No plans for cross-platform play, and 4) You don’t need PlayStation Plus to play the game.

For those who are unaware, SMITE is a third-person MOBA that has players take control of gods from Japanese, Hindu, Mayan, Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Norse and Chinese mythology.

SMITE was originally released on PC by Hi-Rez Studios in 2014 and on Xbox One last year. For more information on SMITE, visit http://www.smitegame.com/.
